DAAD fully funded Masters scholarship | 2024

DAAD, German Academic Exchange Service is currently open for application from interest and qualified student who intend to pursue a postgraduate degree in Germany. 

The scholarship is a fully funded scholarship award which provides living stipend of 11,208 Euros per year including traveling allowance, and a monthly rent at a subsidized rate for every selected candidate. 

DAAD, is one of the largest funding organization in the world for the exchange of international students and researchers.

Program details and processes:

DAAD postgraduate masters program allows you to continue your education in Germany in the field of music. The program also allow you to share different experiences and network among each other. 

The program funding is made possible in a four semester master’s degree program

The scholarship requirements: 

For any candidate to be considered for this award, you must meet and fulfill all the following requirements:

1. You must have acquired a first university degree in MUSIC at the time of this application or must have undergone all the necessary training options available for instruments in your home country. 
2. Master’s degree or postgraduate degree leading to your final qualification, or 
3. A complementary course which does not lead to a final qualification i.e not an undergraduate course/degree

This program allows you to complete at a State German College of Music of your choice. 

NOTE: Your university Degree should not date back more than 6 years as at the time of your application and the deadline. 

Also note that the respective college of music decides the age limit for admission purposes and depending on the applicant’s academic level and choice of subjects. 

Applicants should also note that, their application will not be considered if they have been resident in Germany for more than fifteen (15) months at the application deadline. 

Must understand the language of instruction for the chosen university at the latest by the time of this application and scholarship program.

Program duration and reward: 

Monthly payment of 934 euros, a travel allowance, one-time study allowance, 

Insurance cover for: 

Health, accident and personal liability  

Applicants, can at the beginning of the scholarship funding apply for: 

• Monthly rent subsidy 
• Monthly allowance for accompanying members of the family

Duration of the program:

The program is for one year academic session. In certain individual cases, on request it can be extended. 

Program start usually 1st October of the following year, or even earlier if a German language course is taken prior to the study program.
